Problems with illegal dumping and continued violation of rules at Solon Township parks is accelerating development of a park ordinance.

For the first time in years - there's a race for the seat of Centerville Township supervisor.

Plumbing and heating contractor Kenneth Denoyer edged out Patricia Fleis for the Republican nomination Tuesday, 91-82.

Solon Township voters will decide the fate of a 2-year, .75-mill extra-voted millage request in the Aug. 5 Primary.

The township is seeking to continue a 3/4-mill levy for 2008 and 2009 that will be used for fire department operations and equipment.
